Sammy Sanchez started the gold helmets before Van Avermaet
I caught up with the race late. It was a really good parcours and a brilliant finale. McNulty and Carapaz timed their attack perfectly. Great race from Yates as well - just a shame GB didn't seem to ride as a team.
They crashed as a team.
I just had a look and I think it may have actually been Bettini who started the gold helmets.
2004 (but not for Olympics?)
Gold shades and Olympic rings on Pascal Richard:
Anyone know if all the cycling has been added to iPlayer yet. Watched upto about 25k to go and can't seem to find the rest of the race. Tried online and iPlayer
Have the BBC rights issues been covered here? Apparently they’re only allowed to show two sports at once hence all the cutting hither and thither. Pathetic. IOC are greedy pigs.
Edit - I can’t answer at our question but not sure the BBC has the rights to have highlights on demand.
Can't even show highlights in the news
Crazy how much the IOC earn when the athletes don't get paid
for tomorrow heart wants CUL gold but head says netherlands 1-2-3
Green not your colour? I think it represents the greenest country in Europe. Must say not liking it much although Slovenian myself 🤓
I turned Eurosport on and then rapidly off as they had no commentary… Why pay for the rights then not even have someone explain what’s happening?
Thanks totally unaware of that what a pain in the backside
I like green very much, but not that shade. It’s looks like the old Liquigas green of yesteryear.
Absolute joke. Particularly when lots of the world won’t be awake to see certain events.
They had two streams, one with commentary (and ads) and one without either.
WVA's ride on Strava:
Agree too. Have bid on and won a signed Slovenian team volleyball jersey for some charity stuff last year and when arrived missus said this is NOT going up on the wall
I see where I've been going wrong;
I've been carrying an additional, unnecessary 'c' with me on every bike ride:
I love these treks. Lizzie looks ok so far
Thanks think AVV pinging off the front is the last roll of the dice. The Dutch are banking on a chase I doubt it’ll come now.
This is a great demonstration on how important getting information during the race is. Where's the blackboard guy??
