  • the bloke in a vest (you?) a few posts above looks like the most australian man ever

  • Hah! That's my brother in law, who's a massive Ozzyman fan and the vest is one I bought for him in Sydney. He's thoroughly Danish, though.

  • Picked up a small DeWalt bandsaw yesterday. Most of our woodworking machine needs seem to be sorted now. A quality table saw is the only thing missing, but we'll get by with the ones we've got for now.

  • does he like rugby league?

  • Don't think any form of rugby has ever been shown on Danish tv, so my guess would be no. He likes cycling, red wine and long walks on the beach

  • He likes cycling, red wine and long walks on the beach

    Sounds dreamy!

  • yeah he'll fit right in down the mobile rocket stadium

  • We've decided to modify the 'new permanent bike shed' plans and make a 'new temporary bike shed' to get some stuff out of the way. Basically just a 2.4x2.4m carport built onto the existing workshop. It'll go in front of the windows and be open to the front and towards the door.

  • As I like to do several things at once I also bought some new siding as the current one is quite bad in places. Think I found where the mice enter...

  • Was known as 'Hot Lasse' through his youth...

  • Done for the day. Pulled out the old insulation along with a variety of nests and dead critters. New siding will hopefully go on tomorrow.

  • In honour of the cheap bastard who built the place, I made a chipboard patchwork to close up the wall

  • Siding mounted on the rear. We'll do the rest of that side at a later date.

  • Pulled another rotten window and found and sorted a rotten sill.
A quick look at the local classifieds and we had a new window.

  • Done for the weekend. Last thing was taking down a few ceiling tiles. Looks like the walls weren't the only place that was someones home

  • Is this all in real time?! Mad speed if so.

  • Yeah, started around lunch yesterday.

  • Today's project is putting up a new door

  • Pulling down the rest of the siding revealed an old beehive and an annoyed bat - the latter falling down into the face of my brother in law like a Danish drop bear.
