• You know, the strip of alu or plastic the lowers the position of a bottle cage.

    Anyone want rid of one?

Also looking for front roll bags, saddle bag, maybe bigger framebag for the missus.

  • Might have one of those Topeak jobbies that lower the bottles a couple centimetres if that'll do the job. Will need to see if I can find the mounting bolts.

  • Thanks

Is it the "Alt mount" or whatever it's called? I think that's only a slight drop, like 20-30mm. She's got room on her frame to drop it maybe 60mm.

If it was a notched/slotted one instead of fixed holes, I could stick it on the seattube to lower that bottle 10mm maybe but it's the downtube bottle that's really high at the moment.

  • Since this is about getting luggage onto her bike, side entry cages might also be useful so if anyone has some Lezyne cages lying around...

  • all of this stuff is VERY cheap on AliExpress btw

  • Thanks but no thanks. I know most of the stuff we buy is already made overseas but I don't need to directly contribute to individual imports. Also, I don't like people ripping off other people's designs. Lanshan vs. Zpacks prices though I might be willing to concede one.

  • Fair.

  • I will check the attic but I am pretty sure I have some bikepacking stuff from Planet X.
Purchased for a trip that never happened.

Front roll bag & saddle bag.

    I will check!

  • Also , I don't like people ripping off other people's designs.

I have an untried and untested selfdesigned cagemover I had cut out of stainless steel when I was ordering a batch of bookends, one hole needs to be tapped to M5 though. Let me dig up a picture.

The lower two bolt to the frame and the upper hole can be tapped to M5. Moves the cage ~60mm, I can drill it to 4.2mm for you so you'd 'only' need to run through a tap but I have no idea how easy that is. Would be happy to chuck one in an envelope, never got round to using them.

  • I don't have a tap/die set. Might be useful for later on when I can get hold of someone with more tools but I'm looking for a solution for this weekend (assuming the weather holds).

I could go full framebag on my bike and then give her my dropper but I may just end up paying the fucking ridiculous £20+ asking price for a piece of drilled metal from Sigma Sport.

  • Located the bar bag for you. It is brand new unused.

    It is this one:

Would be happy with £20 for it - Pick up from New Cross SE14 5DB

  • Thanks dude. I'll ping it over to her and see what she reckons. I've got @Aroogah on the case too so pretty soon I'll be inundated with bag options. Bagkake?
