First time poster so jump in if I messed anything up.
I caught the cycling bug recently on a flat bar El Cheapo road bike in Australia. Back in England I'd like to get my first road bike for weekend rides with mates who are into cycling (obviously trailing from behind of course).
I'm 6'3 and a friend of a similar stature said to look for a bike size around 56-60cm. I'm aware it changes a bit between brands however. I've been told to look for Tiagra or 105.
Not sure at budget at this point, but would be interested to see what you have or any pointers for a newbie looking for a bike.
Let me know if there are any details I missed.
Thanks in advance!
If you’re 6ft 3in I’d suggest a 60cm or XL as a minimum - a 56cm would be comically small on you.
Perfect, thanks for the tip!
agree, 60 minimum.
Thank you @Bigteef!
you are welcome, any time.
Worth a look surely?
That looks like a cracking deal. It's 853 Reynolds steel - very high end. I imagine the bike will get snapped up pretty quickly. Teeth on the chainset don't look too worn from the photos. 9 speed is a little old school but is totally enough.
