Hacksaw.
Have you tried to twist it with your wrench while leveraging a big flathead under the bolt?

Hi,
Keeping the hacksaw as a last resort. Sadly the flathead didn't work. Thanks though

Not helping,
but,
every thread should have a theme tune.

Ring spanner on the nut to undo and pull the calliper. You may get away with just a new nut and the bolt thread be ok.

here thanks you! Haven't got a mole grip sadly. Thanks for the tip on the brakes though

Thanks, will try!

I think the opposite end of the problematic bolt should have a head on it that accepts a Allen key. If you were to dismantle the calliper in situ you could get a Allen key into the bolt head then hopefully unscrew the nut.... If you're in London I'll happily give you a hand.

Mole Grip+Hacksaw did the trick. Bolt thread was gone in places, just enough to jam it. Thanks anyway! Will get one of them brakes from the listing👍

That’s very much appreciated, it is sorted now.

Hi,
Put a brand new (budget) front brake onto my fixie, that I couldn't tighten properly, it was sitting loose in the fork. Kept trying and probably damaged it, so now I can turn it both directions, but it doesn't tighten or loosen at all even if:
Any ideas how to take it off the fork? Thank guys.
