Good find with the forks though I know what you meant about the aesthetics where they meet. It almost looks like the bike has a 1.5" headtube in that first picture but it's not as noticeable in side profile. I'm sure it rides nicer too!

I'm going to just try not to let it bother me! It looks a bit odd up close, I think maybe the headtube is tapered, it certainly looks damned chunky. Now with WTB tyres, Flite on its way from the UK.

Buying a new cassette. Bike is driving me mad.

I've fitted the cassette (11-28 to replace an 11-32) and the average speed is now up by a few km/h, but I'm still only using the big ring. I'm going on a tour of Marche, Umbria and Ascoli Piceno in August and I'm half tempted to stick a 48t chainring on the front, but I think I'll wait until I get back, as it is both hilly and hot there, neither of which will encourage big ring grinding.
Also, I have to raise the seat post again.

I've swapped the Ritchey bars and stem across from my Bianchi onto the maga bike, as my girlfriend prefers the higher rise of these bars to the flat bars. Not sold on these 26 x 1.95 tyres but until some others come up, they'll have to do.
