For some reason my previous thread about this is locked so I'm reposting.
I bought this a few years ago when it was advertised as a genuine SBDU machine but some detective work established that it (almost certainly) isn't. It's a converted Raleigh Record Ace - Reynolds 531c - with a chrome track fork.
The frame is dent and ding free and has a lovely SBDU paint job with the usual little small chips and scrapes you'd expect from a bike that has been ridden (dry days only).
Thankfully the wheels and components are as was promised and they're all high quality and in superb condition.
Phil Wood high flange polished hubs laced to Mavic Open Pro rims with Sapim CR Ray aero-bladed spokes. Gatorksin shod with very few miles front and rear.
Brooks saddle, Planet X aluminium aero seatpost. I put the risers (sacrilege I know but I don't like drops) and the Oury grips on there. ITM stem. Ultegra front brake with cross top lever
Sram Omnium track cranks with 48 tooth ring. Vanilla pedals and toe clips as I'm not leaving my clipless ones on here.
Dura Ace 14 tooth track sprocket and Phil Wood lock ring.
All in all a lovely package that rides beautifully and looks the business.
A giant to ride it - this is a big boy
Bike is in Brixton.
nice, would be interested in wheels and cranks if it came to splitting. GLWS
And some more.
Totally understand if you're not willing to do this but if you're able to sell the fork separately I might be interested depending on the steerer and thread size!
Dibs on wheels in case of split.
Price drop to £580.
Price drop - £560
Potentially interested in frame and forks if you decide to split.
Also would be interested in frame and forks..
Any chance you'd be interested a partial swap for a bangin' custom BMX (also for a giant!), as seen here:
PM me if so.
