So built this last year, not even ridden it yet! Ive been thinking about converting it back to geared but I'd have to buy a load of kit like sti''s, cranks, mechs etc. Or should I leave it and convert my current holdsworth single to more "old school" with dt shifters?
And the holdsworth (minus chain)
Sounds like you answer your own question
Depends a bit on what you wanna use it for...
Chain looks awfully tight and with no way of tensioning it, keeping this single speed would definitely not be my choice.
There is some slack on it, doesn't look like it but it's not tight.
Do you HAVE to have a geared bike? Nothing wrong with two fg/ss's
No I don't HAVE to, but as I'm getting on then a geared bike might be handy.
Don't worry about formatting, just type in the text and we'll take care of making sense of it. We will auto-convert links, and if you put asterisks around words we will make them bold.
