Things will get better . Follow the guidelines (not them) my mate took a year to recover after wrapping himself backwards over a rock . Dont hit the painkillers they destroyed his stomach and kidneys leaving him insulin dependant now . Under isolation as well . If you need advise i can pass on his details . At home doing eff all right now.

That's heartening - I'm 54 so we're nearly the same - mind you, I couldn't do one hand press-ups before so if you're promising me I'll be able to some after, that'll be great!!!!
To be honest, I've lost half a stone in a week - so i'm hoping if that carries on my climbing will get better!

So I managed to fall of my bike at the very worst time - last Thursday had a small fall which resulted in some major damage - 4 broken vertebrae - and having discovered that I can walk, talk and do "the basics"(1's and 2's) I am hugely relieved.
However, now I'm back home facing a few months recovery, I'm thinking I may aswell clear out the stable completely and get some joy from building up something new for when I can once again "get my leg over" - I'm going to go for "one bike just for riding around" and will take enjoyment from figuring out what this is over the coming few months.....
This is what's up for grabs - I can provide more details should anyone require them:
55cm Reilly RS7 stainless steel roadbike (advertised on here last year but decided to keep it) - beautiful bike - full Sram Force 22, deda 35 bars/stem/seatpost, Hope hubs on open pros. £1550 (Sold already!)
18" Orange 5 MTB - 26" wheels - fabulous spec - Hope brakes, headset, hubs, chainring, new dropper, Fox forks, new Fox shock, Renthal bars, Orange stem, SLX drivetrain . Mechanically absolutely perfect. £850 (this wants for nothing - superb bike) SOLD
18" Nicolai Helius CC MTB - 26" wheels - amazing spec in 14 speed Rohloff, magura forks, Fox shock, Hope front hub, Chris King headset. Superbike - German engineering at its very best. £1000
Medium Cannondale FSi carbon 29er hardtail. Bought new last summer. Recently fitted brand new dropper & will inc original rigid Cannondale post. £1100.
The bikes are all in Cheshire - for shipping, I have my two sons stuck at home at the moment so they can help with that (assuming we can get hold of packaging) & we'll make sure we disinfect before we send - although as I think all the online shops are saying, give it 72 hours before you unpack at your end and wipe everything down again.....
