My front derailleur is sticking when shifting from big to small. The derailleur is moving freely but grit and sand has found its way into the internal cable housing, causing the cable to get stuck instead of becoming slack when shifting down.
Has anyone had experience of this? If anyone has advice on how to flush it would be hugely appreciated!
A blast with GT 85, using the red tube that comes with the can and which fits inside the housing.
Thanks for the advice @adroit...no GT85 but I think I've solved it.
Poured degreaser down the housing, let it do its work, then got my track pump and flushed it out with air...did this 3x followed by water and it's much smoother now 👍🏻
You don't want to leave any water in there though... it'll rust faster than you can say 'this shifting is so nice and smoo...DAMN'
