I have an Tacx spider workstand that is a few years old. This means it only supports QR attachment. I ordered a pack of adaptors from Tacx but none were the right size.
I’ve now ordered some lengths of 12mm internal diameter aluminium pipe which I’ll cut to length and jubilee clip to the existing mounts.
Has anyone else done this? Is it doomed to failure? Anything I should be aware of?
If it works I’ll also do the same to my Scicon TSA 2.0 frame to it will take bolt through axles as there is no formal upgrade kit.
I saw the end caps for these on Amazon I think, were like £40?
I think this is what I got albeit directly from Tacx. I will check again on the diameters.
