  • This is exactly the 'Rally round the flag' shit that is seeing Trump at his highest ever approval rating, regardless of his completely incompetent and farcical performance during this crisis.

Exactly the same could be said of Boris and his government during this crisis. Not a single correct decision taken at the right time and communicated well to the public. Yet, we should 'support the PM'. Bollocks.

  • no doubt in photo ops everyone will be kitted out nicely

I doubt the government will be using this for photo ops.

  • If bojo pegs it raab comes in as caretaker PM and immediately shits his pants and defers to the public health experts. Any political instability would come after the crisis which is fine by me as it could mean we avoid a hard brexit.

Sorry for his unborn kid and legion of legitimate/illegitimate kids but to put it mildly, he ain’t a good guy.

I don't think it is. You are welcome to think what you like. But please, go back and re-read what I have said and just make sure you've understood it.

Uber's high horse is fucking great I love it!

  • Gonna get pulled into some Politcal finger pointing now but if you have looked at the statistics for the West the curves are pretty similar give or take a few (many) thousand.

You think if Corbyn was in power we would be in a better situation?

    Bewshit.

  • Any political instability would come after the crisis which is fine by me as it could mean we avoid a hard brexit.

Dunno. My recollection of the last few years in politics is that a hard Brexit comes closer the more infighting there is. It would be a bummer to get that and have to pay twice as much for your PPE imports or your reagents because the bottom has dropped out of your currency as the world watches us sink further in to political basket case status.

  • Was just joshing.

And more aimed at the forum's resident 'Heal the World' era Michael Jackson impersonator.

  • 'Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is a local health board in Wales, headquartered in Caerleon'

    / from Wikipedia

  • My old Uni village. Weird. It’s a very small place.

  • The Stereophonics and Lewis Capaldi gigs in Cardiff were only four weeks ago, right?

  • Going down to 80% pay.
Fortunately pretty big margins for living expenses etc so i'll get by.
Just happy if i'm able to keep my job through this shite.

  • Do you think the 1922 committee would start piping up or they’d have a leadership contest in the middle of the crisis? I don’t think even that lot would dare

  • I think they would just fill the gap as the moderates exhaust and then finally kill themselves over disagreeing on the type of Brexit they want. Again.

  • Canada++ is asking for something that doesn't exist and is barely better than a hard Brexit. I guess we have to hope Boris knows he is pandering bull and only does it to get the votes/support, and u-turns at the last minute.

You may be right that it is the best we can get over more fighting, somebody who doesn't believe in anything enough to take a stand until he thinks it threatens his popularity, but can see off the ERG.

  • The excellent John Harris suggests that a voice for the poeple could be found outside the government, in the new leader of the opposition Kier Starmer, considering the disunity of the current administration. He said this before Boris went to hospital.

  • You think if Corbyn was in power we would be in a better situation?

I got this from my mum on the phone. I wonder if this going to become a pattern for the immediate future as well, questioning what Corbyn would do differently?

Every time the Tories (not accusing you of being a Tory btw) are asked something, we get "Well, Mr Corbyn would have..." instead of "Well, Mr Corbyn will..."

Unless you're a policial / history undergrad doing their thesis in about ten years time, it's got about as much relevance as asking what a cricket bat would do if it was in power now instead.

  • Yeah but that's pie in the sky nonsense. If you mean Starmer could be shoe-horned in as a caretaker PM. (Having read the article now, I don't think you mean that).

For a start, Starmer has ambitions. He wouldn't take that poisoned chalice if he could avoid it.

  • You think if Corbyn was in power we would be in a better situation?

a nonsense statement designed to obfuscate and divert scrutiny from the current shitwizards driving the bus of the cliff.

  • There has been speculation that the Dragons v Benetton (Northern Italian team) rugby match on March 6 could be a factor

  • it's got about as much relevance as asking what a cricket bat would do if it was in power now instead.

I voted Cricket Bat. Thanks. Son's crying.

  • I wonder what the actual death toll including those who have die due to negligence during the pandemic.

  • What do you mean by negligence?

  • What do you mean by negligence?

People who need constant care, i.e. disabled people.
