Is it possible to shim a cassette at all? I’ve got a wheelset where the indexing is just a tiny bit off against my turbo (and a winter wheelset) and having to tweak it is starting to irritate me.
yup, you can get shims. if you have a friendly lbs that does repairs you can usually drop in and get them for not a lot
Both SRAM and Shimano have recently released shims for cassettes that made noise and didn't shift ideally. How much are you talking?
It's in the range of annoying clicking so probably no more than 0.5-1mm out. If the LBS can't shim it I'll just get them to index it for the wheel I use on the road then figure it out later.
Don't worry about formatting, just type in the text and we'll take care of making sense of it. We will auto-convert links, and if you put asterisks around words we will make them bold.
