Yes fam! - early 90's Raleigh MTB
such steel so lugs - Apparently Fixie is dead and it's all 90's mtb now
20" (51cm) frame & forks - Reynolds 501 - lugs - pantographed seatstays
Paintwork - Sick fades in pretty reasonable condition - see photos
For your £30 you get...
Would make a great town/dad/adventure/gravel bike - I don't need this anymore as I'm now sorted something far heavier and more cumbersome!
The frame's in Ascot, collection, delivery, meeting halfway can all be arranged!
I'll get some proper measurements for you later (TT lengths, angles etc)
Meanwhile here are some photos:
Paintwork - grubby but reasonable
Pantograph - so classy
Haz horizontal dropouts - will fixie.
(This was the original attraction for me, I was planning single speed)
According to the German catalogue for 1991 the frame is gemufft and geloetet....
Ich hab mich geLol't
Here's the stem..
I just measured the top tube it's 23" which in pre-brexit terms is a rex-slaying 58.4cm.
Back in the day 20" MTBs were ridden by 6-footers.
I'm 6'2" and back in the early 90's I was rocking an 18" (46cm) frame.
Price drop - £25% off!
Cool paint - if I respray a frame I'd like something like that, full 90s clashy.
Somebody buy this! (and then buy a retro STX groupset off me to go on it)
Cheers, I thought I'd priced it quite well and am surprised at no interest after a week.... Happy to consider offers/bartering etc
Still for sale?
Sorry, I shipped it to @spudi yesterday morning
Oh man that is so sick and sooooo rad. I wish I had seen it earlier and I could have built it up and had panniers on it.
