I am after a BMX bike for my 11 year old boy, something solid and safe for him to take to the skate park etc.
A 22" top tube is massive for an 11yr old.
Thats not something I'd worry about unless they were extremely small for their age.
But I'm a stickler when it comes to my own geometry so fair enough.
I've got one you can have - £25 and I'm in Leyton.
Bought 'on here' in the summer, but I now have two which is probably at least one too many.
I can measure it a bit later when the kids are in bed
I'm 5ft 10" and used to ride 20.5, maybe 20.75 at a push. Maybe BMX geo has changed.
PM for you
I might be able to wrangle an 18" Fit, but I guess that might be too small for what you want?
I didn't realise that sizing was that relevant to BMX bikes. He uses a small adult mountain bike if that is a good enough guide.
top tube is 20 inches. it's definitely too big for my seven and five year olds
