I thought it might be useful to post the following link to police information on fatal collisions:
While police stats on crashes often come in for criticism, at least for fatal collisions it is thought they are reasonably complete, with the exception of victims who die from the consequences of the collision in hospital or in some other way.
The page is also useful because it offers a very long list of tags by which you can filter posts, although unfortunately there is no tag for 'serious collisions'. (Perhaps that is because there would be too many.) Click on 'show all tags' to bring up the full list. The most useful ones are probably the tags that filter by area.
As you can see, a fatal collision happens in London every couple of days, with the majority of victims being pedestrians.
Don't worry about formatting, just type in the text and we'll take care of making sense of it. We will auto-convert links, and if you put asterisks around words we will make them bold.
