my old one has died, i lent a neighbour the PSU and it does nothing now.
I've got an old firewire card in it, and a RAID controller with my data disks connected.
Ideally I'd like to borrow an old desktop with at least two of the old white PCI slots. It doesn't need an HD, I've got one I can boot off.
Another long shot, perhaps....
Treat yourself to a new one: https://www.supermicro.com/en/products/motherboard/X11SAE-F
Or try something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Sintech-PCI-Express-Riser-Extender/dp/B00KZHDSLQ
There's something on page 211 of this thread about PCI slots, not sure if it helpful...
My PCI cards are the old sort, so I need the big old sockets. Thanks though!
I need a desktop for about half a day to get my old data onto usb and then junk my old desktop.
I've tried a couple of PSUs that I've borrowed from work, but I don't know if my old one even boots. It hasn't been used for about 10 years.
I don't really want to splash out on new kit, I've got more laptops than I need as it is
I was considering option 2.

I have an old 775 motherboard combo which is just sitting. I might find PSU along with it. I'm based in Bethnal Green, drop me a PM in case you want to give a try.
