Ok, so I’ll regret it but need space so here’s my Panasonic PR-6000 that was John Talen’s in 1990 (John was World time trial champion plus lanterne rouge in the Tour). The bottom bracket is stamped JT-3 and in 1990 John entered the Arenberg in the leading group. I have absolutely no evidence to support the claim but have decided it was on this bike. It’s seen me happily(!) round the Ronde twice but needs a new home.
Panasonic PR-6000 frame and fork - absolute top end, crazy amount of money in the day. Has touched not available to the public eg extended seat tube
64.5cm to top of extended seat tube
58.5cm top tube
17cm head tube between cups
Groupset is DA7400/01
Seatpist is specially adapted DA aero with a slot cut in it (weight saving?)
Bike is glorious to ride but is well used rather than showroom condition as per the photos. There is a shallow dent in the top tube that predates me - it hasn’t cracked the paint and survived my sprinters build descending the Koppenberg so seems ok.
I’m after £700 (plus any shipping) for this
PS Not mine but get the car too for maximum baller
That is fantastic.
It's perfect, how tall are you?
The car's great too.
Forgot to add, headset spacer is unique and had loads of attention in Oudenaarde on this bike
I'm a burly, rangy 6'2" but seems to ride 'large' for my height
Also, photo shows Ceramic rims - it's sold with the MA2 on Dura Ace that it came with AKA JT's Training Wheels
I have the 91-MO-3. I always considered it as Mark van Orsouw's 3 th bike (training bike). ;)
Great bike. Keep it. I found a pricelist somewhere, the bike costed 8000 Gulden back in 1991 (4000 €, that is).
You’re almost certainly right, I just need to ride it to remind myself how good it is.
Then again, I need the space so if this stays then what goes?
You’ve got things that are better than this?
Hey @Big_Ted sweet bike! I have a Panasonic pt-5000 from the early 80s, and have been trying to find out a bit more about it... do you know where I can find out?
