  • Mark Reilly is a lovely guy...the frame was built ages ago...but how long does it take to polish? Perhaps off it to me at a discount...and maybe I will then get it painted next year...I write emails that are friendly..(forget the phone)...I am lucky to get a reply the following week...with a cryptic message...I quickly reply but don't get a reply...so still none the wiser....yes...I perhaps should have stuck to 2nd hand/used frames...but what do I do?

I saw this Roberts and thought...ooh is it worth canceling and losing my deposit and getting this instead and coughing up a further £1500?

  • Geoff (Roberts) is without peer in the frame building business, see some builders frames in raw steel - glossy paint hides a multitude of sins.
Wouldn't tolerate that treatment from MR.

  • Surprised someone hasn't snapped this up.

  • Have bit the bullet and bought this. Hope you don't feel gazumped old bean and that you get your Reilly post haste to your full satisfaction...

  • Do you still have any of your Mavic bits pls? A bit up in the air still but would be interested if you do.

  • Drop me a message

  • Good..glad someone has bought this as it is excellent Roberts opportunity at a great price.

I am grouching but not likely to cancel...so no hard feelings in the slightest...look forward to seeing photos of the completed build.

  • good-oh.

Swithering on whether to give it fancy new clothes from Roberts too or just keep it cheap and functional by getting a powdercoat as new paints don't seem to last very well and would like to use this as a nice but not ridiculously expensive commuter.

  • I vote classy paint and Mavic. That said I've got a pair of Middleburns I was toying with putting on it myself (+DA 7700) if you wanted to go modern...
