I have a pair of old Dura Ace 7600 bar end TT shifters, when in big ring the cable pulls the shifter down, therefore dropping the chain from big to small ring. I tried to screw the side bolt of the shifter but problem persists. Any suggestions?
I assume you’re talking about the left side bar end shifter controlling the front mech. This is friction controlled not indexed. So I guess you’re saying the friction is not holding and the spring in the front mech is gradually pulling the mech over and the chain moves to the small ring.
So, you need to take apart the shifter and see if it is assembled correctly and all the parts in working order. There should be an exploded diagram of the shifter online, googling will help.
