105 rear mech, £16 off eBay on its way!
Twigged that 5800 will only to 32 and I want 34!
Probably won’t kill you.
It wouldn’t, ah fuck it.
Will go up to 42 with this.
Ta. Had one before works, but I’ll be stubborn with the 32t until I find more cash! Thanks
Stripped Brompton, brooks cambium can go on this.
Need to get a rx800 mech for the other bike to steal the r8000 one I think!
Rx800 mech found and ordered via eBay!
Wheels arrived. Qr in 12mm works perfect... ;)
SON hub to be purchased then rebuild wheel,
Shifters here, chainset but can’t find a bb in my spares, and have front mech.
Coming together nicely!
nice to see the wheels being put to good use :)
Regarding paint - why not just leave it as is?
I think the OD fork looks great with the raw frame.
Because then it'll be scrap in a couple of years
It’s currently got a very thin lacquer.
I need to touch a file on the dropouts a wee bit to finish them and I don’t want to faff in a few years..
As phildas says, rust never sleeps. I want a powder coat.
Black, dark grey, green have been suggested.
Ideal for what I wanted, the front hub just needs swapping out for a dyno!
Burnt orange ftw!
You're right.. Powder coat seems the way to go.
Might I suggest RAL 5001?
Good post day!
Sending the frame off for paint next week, hopefully have it finished for a camp out stag do on the 19th but we shall see!
Ha oops totally wrong thread sorry!
Rear wheel ready!
Also got the dyno hub and lights, mudguards, trp cable kit, tyres, tubes, tape today!
Thoughts on the 32mm Ultrasports? Been waiting for these to come into work to try a set.
Why would you spend more?!
I used to sell a heap of the grand sports at £30 each, customers loved them. I’m a big fan.
Front wheel. - ended up using a r460 as it made sense with the other one having a few knocks and the mrs wanting it for a project
Changed paint to black, ordered Sparta fork.
Norco forks are ace, but not happy with the light mounting options! - happy to move them on if someone fancies, otherwise I’ll keep them for another project!
