As the title suggests, I just got the Shimano 11-34 cassette and looking to replace an old 11-32 cassette. Will I need to install a new chain, or will the current length chain suffice?
Something like half a link difference so no. Test big-big combo unless you just have 1 ring. Just check the cage angle and make sure its not going to kill you with fire and spokes
Any question answered....
New chain is always worth it if your old cassette is a bit worn and the new one is new-new. Why wouldn’t you?
Bit of a cheapskate, but yeah, new chain probably in order.
Cheers, noted for future random questions. :)
