Expecting big things here.
Is this the one that was on eBay?! Excited to see this if so (or, indeed, even if it isn't)
This is gonna be good!
Also have a rock lobster team tig en route, the one that was on ebay. Looking forward to see what your plans are.
Here we go - Frameset
Exotic MTB carbon forks
Hope Pro 2 / Mavic X317 Wheelset
So, this is my first MTB build / project. I’m going to wing it, and see what happens.
It’s loosely based on a red 853 I saw on sale here, a while ago.
Exotic carbon forks
Hope Wheelset pro2
Hope discs tech2
The frameset already came with a XT Deore group & Magura forks which I sold. I have kept the Easton finishing kit, as it seem to look ok, and will do for now.
I’ll leave it here for now, recommendations will be kindly received
Hope Discs Tech2
I haz a Chris King headset I won't be using any longer, bu it won't fit in with your current colour scheme.
Looks lovely, what's the clearance like on the fork?
Plenty of room to swing a cat
Starting to take shape :-)
This is gonna be so rad
Avid juicy discs bought off a work colleague for £25, little bit on the large size, but they will do for now.
New Shimano Zee Chainset from the Wiggle eBay shop £43.
The saddle is temporary, and will need to investigate a different stem once I’m happy with the reach.
Just need to get a headset, probably FSA pig, chain, cassette, grips and rear cable and then it’s pretty much done.
My other little dilemma is the lack for front cable guides, can anyone recommend anything?
I don’t want to spoil the lovely carbon forks.
This tape. Amazing. Changed my life.

This is looking so good, I love the forks. Going through a 1st time mtb build too atm
can you write a little more about how this works please?
very enticed by the description.
Route the cable through the inside of the fork leg. Don’t want it on the outside off road.
It works like regular tape but it vulcanises over time like patches on an inner tube.
If done neatly you get a nice little rubber ring that is flexible and doesn't damage the hydraulic hose.
