I'm looking to have a stem blasted & powdercoated in a standard RAL colour.
What would be a reasonable cost in your opinion? I've had a quote and to me it seems high - just wanting to get some comparisons (and potential recommendations)
Thanks in advance
I wouldn't expect to pay less than about £50.
You have to ask yourself; if you were a powder coater; could you be bothered for less?
If you were having multiple parts or something bigger done then I would expect the individual component price to be less....
cheaper if they have other same colour parts, its got to be worth it for the painter.
I go to warren at RPA powdercoating in Bristol, a stem would be 20-30 but only if i was getting other stuff done / i go to him regularly.
Exactly. If I were having a frame and forks done, I'd hope a stem in the same colour would be basically a nominal extra, but for just a stem, you're paying for all the set-up, colour loading etc, and the admin related to each job.
