Genesis Day One Alfine 8 speed frame & fork & Cane Creek Forty headset & seatpost clamp
Frame broke at rack mounting point and has been repaired professionally at LBS (see notes below and photos)
56 cm BB centre to top of seatpost clamp
55 cm seat tube centre to head tube centre
Head tube length is 16 cm
Fork steerer is 23.5 cm long
Seatpost diameter 27.2 mm, I can include a basic seatpost if desired
This is the disc brake, Alfine 8 speed hub gear model with braze ons for the cable for the hub gear.
OEM front wheel (Alex/Shimano) can be included in sale if wanted (picture to follow) as can original brifters by Versa which are in quite poor condition (I replaced these with TRP hydraulic levers and built another wheel with a dynamo hub).
This was my touring and commuting bike for three years and in its various guises it took me all around the UK. Sadly this summer I stupidly overloaded the rack en route to a festival and the rack bolt's braze on broke off the seat stay just above the drive-side fork end with the bolt and frame still attached (see photos). I took the components off and put them on another frame, which is now my main bike. Now this one has been professionally repaired at my LBS where the rack mount was reattached and a whole lotta metal added to reinforce it so hopefully it can't break off again. Again, see photos.
Given the scruffy condition and unpainted repair I'm only looking for £130 or £150 with the wheel £100, or £120 with the wheel.
It's in Oxford where it can be picked up, I can also post it for an extra £20.
frame and fork
Price drop now £100 (or £120 with the front wheel) + postage
Would like if still available - have PMed.
Now sold (actually, traded with a friend for a 1970s Peugeot road bike)
