  • Well I thought it may not be too cheeky to post a thread on here about my new venture;, a new cycling cafe in Bristol. After taking a year off when I left London's famous London bike trade I'm back at the retail in a slightly different way; selling coffee to cyclists.

I share space in a 2100sqft warehouse unit in BS5 (St George, just 100m off the Bath/Bristol bike path) with 2 other businesses in a space we're calling "Business As Usual". Forever Pedalling, offering workshop services and a carefully curated selection of cycling accessories and own brand clothing, and the forum's own @hoops who runs the best paint shop in the west:

I plan to expand to offer bike fitting in the evenings, and we will be screening all racing live (Cross, MTB and road). We're also developing our mezzanine into a co-working space in the new year. The space will be available for event/class/screening rental also so please do drop me a message if you're looking for something!

  • Looks an ideal place to start an Audax from ;)

  • Looking grand!

  • Looks good - shall drop in soon - hope it goes really well.

  • Looks great!

  • I popped in today to say hello. Bit hidden away from the crowd (some might say a good thing) but close to cycle path so easy to stop by on a ride. Coffee was so good I ended up having two cups! Lots of nice things to look at, got a Forever Pedaling sweatshirt on order as I love the design. Worth a trip!

  • Lovely to meet you!

Agreed we're not on the busiest street, but the travel connections make up for it I think.

  • I don’t think it’s cheeky at all to post, it’s very relevant to many forumites’ interests.

Good luck with it, will try to drop in on my rare visits out west.

  • I'm Jon MacK's dad, he was telling me about you guys the other day, best of luck, I will pop in sometime soon... as long as you have cake. You do have cake... don't you?

  • I can confirm there is cake, including that of the vegan variety, and it is very good.

  • I was there for the start of the overnight audax a couple of weekends back....amazing space and atmosphere. I had no idea you were involved @jammy - that's awesome. I live in the neighbourhood so will be popping in with a frequency.

  • Ahhh, there is cake, that's great news.... ride, sleep, eat cake, repeat.

  • There is cake. Working on some festive treats for the weekend too - we'll see...

  • I heard they even have that canned belgian chocolate business that can grant all of your (chocolate based) dreams.

  • Not true. It's Dutch

  • I’m gonna come in after Christmas. Looking forward to it!

  • Can also confirm the coffee and cake is top notch. What an amazing space. Best of luck to all involved, will hopefully be back soon!

  • Tell me more about the co-working space. I might be after some desk space at some point in the future - is that what you mean?
St George would be ridiculously convenient for a Fishpondian.

  • Quick update.

I've made an agreement with Rapha which will allow me to provide RCC members free coffee at Camber...

Just incase any of you are members!

  • Now if only if that was for LFGSS members

  • Little bump for this as we're showing the National Cyclocross Championships live on Sunday, if anyone is looking for a place to watch!

  • Organising a coffee and hills loop in February if anyone in Bristol or Bath are keen for a ride!

  • Completely missed this thread, looks like a nice little coffee shop. Will pop in next time I'm near Lawrence Hill.

  • @jammy - what a great setup you have there, great coffee and cake and lovely to meet you.

For anyone doing Bespoked Camber cafe/business as usual is well worth a visit.

Will be back on my next Bath/Bristol weekend stint, maybe @hoops will be there to discus #sickfadez for my Capo...
