Just signed up to this and am already excited!
Just read through the 2018 edition thread and it looked awesome.
My belt drive didn't think so! :)
You doing it again?
Yes Joe! Bunch of us northies are doing it again. Was fucking great last year.
Wicked! Let me know if you guys are doing any off road training rides in spring
100 or 50:50?
I'm in for the 100.
Did the 50:50 in 2017, missed this year. So stocked already. Anyone in doubt, just sign up for this, it is awesome. Hard but awesome.
Mate just tried to enter - looks like 50:50 is sold out
Anyone selling a spot??
what bivi bags do people use/recommend?
want something cheapish but good. probably won't use it much after this
Did you get a spot Joe?
They're releasing waiting list ones beginning of march.
Re bivi if it's a single use borrow if you can!
Had an army goretex one which @Mikey5000 uses now. Works. Doesn't pack that small. Currently using a hooped Rab one which is wonderful but £££. Think there's a bivi thread somewhere.
Yeah I got a spot - my mate didn't. What is the deal with the waiting list places?
What you got, the ridge raider?
Anyone got a bivi bag I can borrow?
places available in the 50:50 at the moment
Actually do fancy this. But it’s on the fucking may half term bank hol weekend. Guess that’s great for those with no kids at school ...
It's fucking awesome @Skülly just send the kids off to war or something.
Also, @furious_tiles is doing it and that's good reason enough for me
Yeah I'm doing the 100. Should be a good and hard day out.
I think I have an army type one. Sorethroat got it for me from the army place on the cut. When is this thing?
If I'm not using it you're welcome to borrow it.
Fantastic fun event. So tempted to do it again, but unable this year!
Have you been offering the bivi that I’m using to others?!?!!?
In that case do you have an attic full?
He of many bivvies.
Would seriously like to do this @cake (especially to hang out with him^)but I’m planning to tour for three nights with my lad that half term.
take him to swanage...
Last year's event was only a few days after I got my big white Peugeot Boxer. Having made (inevitably) less progress on camperifying it than planned, this thread reminds me that Charlie asked me if I'd consider being a support vehicle for 2019.
Most full-size bikes I've had in it so far has been 6, all under the bed without removing wheels. 80 litre compressor fridge can also be stocked with beverages, by special request.
