Doesn't seem to be much/any info on here about touring this part of the world. I'm flying to Mexico at the end of the month to cycle down through all the CAm countries to Panama (initial plan was Bogota, but the Darien Gap looks a little spicy for gringo cyclists).
If there is any experience (either cycling or touristing), would be very grateful for any thoughts on what things are:
Also, what are the roads like - what tyres would you recommend? Camping or pensiones? Is there any decent beer?
