    Thanks Branwen. Actually we survived 20 years and offered proper contracts for around 17 years for core office staff then 13 years for all staff.

    As a cooperative it was important to wind up without leaving anyone of our members out of pocket. We also tried to ensure people we made redundant had information and references for their next career steps and have done pretty well with this.

    However any leads regarding possible work for ex-CTUK people (all experts in cycle training and cycle mechanics) would be brilliant. If anyone has any ideas please PM me and I'll post this on CTUK's (Microcosm) forum kindly set up by @Velocio who deserves a gong!

    We should ride again soon Branwen :)

    @user95780 who are you :)

  • David,

    I trained with CTUK up to Provisionally qualified status somewhere before September 2008. (I recall I did the training on my old bike and that was superseded by the new machine then.)

    Beyond that I setup and ran the BUG at BP from 2005 to 2014 and we contracted with CTUK to train our staff as and when they wanted it and ran regular Dr Bike sessions at Sunbury.

    Since leaving BP I have ended up in The City with a smallish start-up where I've kicked another BUG off and was really looking forward to continuing the relationship with CTUK.

    I think it was you we had in for a lunchtime session in December last year.

  • I used to come and do some of the Dr Bikes in Sunbury and delivered cycle training to a few of the BP staff.

    Indeed it was. Loved your enthusiasm. didn't realise you were on here :)
    We also bumped into each other at a Queen St Doctor Bike.

    Do you do form drinks? I go to Wests occasionally. Be good to catch up

  • Well, I wasn't on here until a few days ago when I went looking for an explanation as to why CTUK had closed.

    Generally when I finish work I make a beeline for home. Where's Wests ?

    There's Norths and South East drinks too
