Working with the barest palette of bass kicks and spare Roland percussion, Barnett treats the grid like a noumenal loom, weaving and warping his rhythms with needlepoint precision. The staccato micro-mechanics of Too Keen appear to kern the dynamics of Mark Fell’s Sensate Focus volumes close to Dale Cornish’s Clap exercises, whereas the super dry but playful swerve of Zaire splits the difference between Jlin’s unique syncopation and Rian Treanor’s stinging minimalism, and Igloo is just ice cold techno futurism, clipped and cut tight in-the-pocket.

    lol

  • Nah, he's from up north. Never had the misfortune of hearing his hammed-up manchester accent?

  • No doubt. And I welcome opposing views, debate is healthy, everyone's entitled to their opinion. But when their opinion is racist, sexist or in other ways discriminatory, it is most certainly not welcome and should be called out.
I shop where I shop because to my knowledge, they don't hold opposing views to me on these topics. If I find out that they do, I sure as hell would take my money elsewhere.

Don't take what I said in a conversation about very clear topics, to be vague and applicable to your point. We're not talking about not doing business because we have different favourite colours. You know what I meant.

  • Nah, he's from up north. Never had the misfortune of hearing his hammed-up manchester accent?

    No, never had the pleasure.

  • Again Thoms views are his, ours are ours and we respect they may differ.

  • Neil, this is disappointingly slopey shouldered, but hey....free socks.

  • "Imagine you are a minority (race, religion, gender) and you come across Mamnick and see that you are clearly not welcome in already white dominated sport, how would you feel?

    NO amount of ..

.. but he is so nice in the pub
.. but he just hates the bad guys of islam
.. but he gives us free socks

    .. is acceptable.

If you still can't see it, you never will so there is no point in explaining further.
If #MeToo has taught us anything, it is that values matter.

As for Thom, you are unfortunately mis-guided and I hope you turn this page."

Thanks for posting this amey. I felt like it needed posting again.

I can see it. I'm sorry if that wasn't clear yet.

I try to see the best in people and give them the benefit of the doubt. I'm sorry if that seemed like I was apologising for racist or sexist behaviour - I wasn't aware of the breadth or depth of Thom's views. I've seen enough now to know these do not align with mine. I boycott a number of brands and individual's that are no better or worse than this. I feel like an idiot for allowing myself to let my guard down because of connections through a sport we all love and often wrongly assume that everyone is on the same page because of.

  • Again Thoms views are his, ours are ours and we respect they may differ.

Even the Daily Mail parted company with Katie Hopkins in the end, maybe she stopped making them socks?

  • No i have better things to be getting on with. Just trying to clarify that the relationship with Thom is not based on political agreement but on that he's a friend of mine and many other very decent trusted people who judge someone on their behaviour whilst in our company. FYI no free socks have been received, although Thom may have been sent a pair by us that we got made again, to fund the team.

  • Good that of my two posts, this was the one you felt warranted the response.

  • Mate, what are you trying to achieve by posting here?

  • Just trying to clarify that the relationship with Thom is not based on political agreement but on that he's a friend of mine and many other very decent trusted people who judge someone on their behaviour whilst in our company.

I wonder if everyone around Harvey Weinstein would've said the same ..
A good read if you have time: https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2018/sep/18/brett-kavanaugh-us-supreme-court-patriarchy

  • Very true, it's wasted. But just trying to make sure that the team we've worked very hard to build isnt suddenly brand some racist, alt right team. If anyone has any problems with what we do I suggest you come and chat in person at a race in the future or arrange a social pint somewhere.

  • I can think of an easy way to prevent that from happening.

  • the relationship with Thom is not based on political agreement but on that he's a friend of mine and many other very decent trusted people who judge someone on their behaviour whilst in our company

What a cowardly response. You're effectively saying 'I know it happened, and I don't like it, but I'm going to ignore it because I wasn't there and it suits me to pretend it never happened.' If he was to have spray painted a swastika on a mosque and posted it as one of his godawful instagram stories, but you weren't there, would you still ignore that because 'he's your mate'?

  • I was wondering how long it would take for someone to post an article from The Guardian!

    Wut?

You could riposte with a Daily Mail link.

  • don't see how RT mainly from a Black American Economist (Thomas Sowell), a Somalian Ex-Muslim (Ayaan Hirsi Ali), another Black American Economist (Larry Elder) and an Imam (The Imam of Peace, Imam Twahidi) are Alt-Right though.

The fact that you even felt the need to write this list speaks volumes.

  • But you haven't done that.

So either stop posting or accept you've lost face with people here. If you don't actually care about what people on here think, I refer you to my previous post.

  • Um you haven't explained why that is a false equivalence. (I'm doubting that you yourself "stayed on for debate class" based on that evidence).

  • Nearly filled my Bingo card, just need a Ben Shapiro video and I'll be quids in.

  • That's hilarious forgot about that!

I was talking the piss out of the Corbyn followers and his comments on that wall graffiti!

A cheap laugh for only £8.21!

Ah. The taking the piss out of someone for allegedly being anti Semitic by being... Anti Semitic trope.

    How witty and original...

  • Run along, I think there are some things you need to discover about yourself

  • You're lovely and I was just thinking exactly the same thing.

It's not in the moments of public necessity that people show their true colours, it's those times when they are bored and on their own and Twitter seems to provide a willing platform of dullard listeners for the rantings and ravings of narcissists, racists and generally unlikeable sorts of people that can't find an audience in real life. At least not one without their white hoods and fun little anonymity policies.

Jeeeez. And I thought that WE got the shitty end of the stick with a clothing company CEO...
