Nice size 42 MTB shoes

I don't suppose anyone has bought some nice MTB shoes, size 42, that would have been better off as a 41 or 43?
I have a friend I am helping get into cycling, and the next step is clipless.
I don't want to spend money on mid range shoes only to find she likes the idea and immediately wants an upgrade.
If you have some you'd be happy to part with because they don't get much use, let me know, if it doesn't work out I have something to sell back on here.

I've two pair of 42s.
Lake MTB boots, bags of wear left £10 posted, or new/never tried on but sans box ladies specific Specialized Body Geometry Riata. I'd accept £38 posted for those as we paid a fair bit for them but missus decided she wanted to stick to flats.

Thanks, but the specialised shoes come up very slightly too small for her.
