You remember in the mid-nineties, if you had riser bars you also had those sweet little extra bars to add extra strength, completely unnecessarily? I always wanted some when I was a kid. Anyway, I can't find pictures of them anywhere on the internet. Anyone know what they're called and if you can still get them???
Like the crossbar that used to come on Azonic Ultracross bars?
Dmr prison bars? Edit - not Dmr, gusset prison bars - dmr wing bars. But probably neither of these ^ that's more like it - try Renthal too
Crossbars are readily available for motorbikes. Don't know that there's any need for them on mountain bikes anymore.
Yesss, just like these! Did they only come on Azonic bars???
Mmm they look pretty nice. I reckon they'd be a bit big for my MTB bars though...
Transx! Those are the ones!!! @BareNecessities you nailed it there. Cheers boss!
Search for "handlebar brace" on ebay, should be plenty results.
I had some red Trans-X with a silver brace. Remember proper shitting myself the first time I rode them without the brace!
