I am planning to buy Dolan Fxe the latest model from their official shop, they say tyre clearance is 25mm max, but I do have wheels with 28mm tyres already, I wondering if I will still be able to use 28mm tyres with that frame? The link to the frame is here: https://www.dolan-bikes.com/dolan-track-bikes/track-framesets/track-frameset-aluminium/dolan-fxe-aluminium-fixie-frameset.html
Looking forward to you reply, thanks!
I'm away at the moment so if you want a proper answer from me it will be Sunday before I can test for sure but...... (and with usual caveats on rim width and which tyres).....
When I put them on my fxe with guards they rubbed but without were OK I think. I also think that actually maybe the back was fine with guards. But could be other way around.
Let me know if you want me to check on Sunday.
I won't use guards for the bike, my tyres are maxxis re-fuse 28mm https://www.maxxis.com/catalog/tire-256-138-re-fuse
Thanks for the answer, will be waiting for it
Hey @Kramertron did u have a chance to check the tyre clearance on your frame? Thanks
