2019 Route released
Looks all good. 2018's first stage finished in my hometown and now 5 and 6 stages are on my girlfriend's family turf.
Looks like a good excuse to pop over to Brussels and drink some beer.
Planning to ride from diepe to see stage 1 then during the ttt on day 2 ride down to Reims/epernay to see finish stage 3 start stage 4 then head back to Diepe.
those are long transfers !
Just a few days to go.
Liking the possibility of it being an open tdf and hoping no one crushes it on planche de belle filles in week one and ends the GC as a contest.
Mark renshaw to retire at the end of the year.
I've put money on Bernal.
I've created a Tour de France league
and they're off
well a little while ago but thunderbirds are definitely go
and as a bonus, no watchfinder ads with the worlds slowest cyclist this year, g-man on a zwift, much more like it,
And they've finished stage 1... Teunissen in yellow ✌🏼
So, are we continuing here, or in the pro cycling thread?
How come Sagan is allowed to wear the green in today's team time trial if he's not officially in the green jersey after stage 1...?
I get that he's a legend of the sport etc. but I thought that points jersey wearing was quite strict?
The current points leader has another colour jersey so second place wears it.
Teunissen leads both the yellow and green jersey competitions so the second place in the less prestigious competition (green) wears that jersey. This is standard for all jerseys.
Thanks both, fount of knowledge this place!
Seeing as @Zerostar has prompted us, the Tour is really boring and the other grand tours are much more exciting. :)
