Can I remove the rear dropout spacers from and old steel frame with horizontal dropouts?
They look like this but cheaper:
I need to pull the wheel axle to the back end of the rear dropouts to gain some space for bigger volume tyres.
Do we really need these spacers?
I would like to try the chainring bolt version of a dropout spacer. Should I use the single, double or triple chainring width of bolt?
Whichever fits. I’m guessing single will be long enough.
