Ha, that was the idea. Figured a monochome design would be relatively cheap. Would cost less than ten pounds a bottle I think. I'd expect to sell two of them to most members of LSF, but still wouldn't get very near to selling fifty bottles that way.
Bidons Not Bottles
anyone have a good suggestion for a bottle/bidon/thermos that will hold hot drinks and stay in a bottle cage?
I was hoping for something that fit into existing bottle cages.... surely there must be something out there that works.
this looks like a penis
I've got one that works - I thought it was a klean kanteen but the pics on the internet of those don't look like mine. Will check and let you know. It's good though
A bit gimmicky but this is my favourite bidon, that I own. It's matchy matchy with my road bike too which is a nice coincidence.
The one I've got is a klean kanteen after all - this type
I live in the vain hope I'll be able to acquire one of the original black Dark Star Brewery bottles. I can't even find a picture of one on the Web any more.
Posted this before in the Stylish thread, Specialized bottles from London Bike Kitchen
Have had them a few months now and the graphics aren't too badly scuffed since then. Mostly just like the colour anyhow.
That's the one. Be still my beating heart
Anyone looking for a budget bottle, I have many thousand miles on a pair of 1 litre Tesco Pineapple juice bottles, they are great. Fit nicely in a normal cage, hold plenty of liquid, and you get free juice
1 litre of pineapple juice would fucking empty me.
[pushes half-eaten breakfast aside]
Apparently diluted pineapple juice (600ml water/ 400ml pineapple juice) is a good sports drink substitute.
Happy with these.
don't knock it until you've tried it
as @birofunk says it makes a potent trail drink, even at half strength
Quite like the Albion bidons.
these would be much better if they didn't have BLB written on them but you can't have everything
Indeed, 1:1 pineapple juice and water, plus a bit of lo-salt is one of the sports drink recipes in Fuelling The Cycling Revolution (from World Tour nutritionist), the other one being 1:2 apple juice to water with added maltodextrin.
Got three of these which are just lovely. (match the rasta CK headset!). Only thing is the lids were utter pap, so have to swap them for Purist lids which fit nicely.
