Ah, I forgot about Ruserius' thread:
Thanks to jaeyukdapbap for bumping it.
Started the festive seasons donations and I thought Veloviewer would be a good pick. So here it is for me:
Gonna convince @cgg (who would need no convincing) to go tilebagging.
13821 tiles, average of 2.936 km per tile
Max square 10x10
Max cluster 348
Is it good?
You have a lot of tiles, but because you're an intercontinental audax kind of guy, a lot of them are probably spread out. So your cluster and max square are pretty small. Have a look at page 1.
The Max Square takes dedicated, focused 'exploring' to expand. It can be quite fun though.
I see, thanks. Looking at the map it looks like I could easily extend the square and perhaps the cluster. Not sure I can be bothered but I'll keep this in mind next time I'm riding out of London :-)
Also it looks like I've missed a few in Jersey, darn.
Where are you all getting these clearer map images from? My VV tile map just looks like someone poured a tin of red paint over Greater London...
Select the "Black and White" map layer on the top left of the map. Then fiddle with the tile settings in top right menu box.
You can also reduce the line opacity, eventually removing the lines altogether if you wish.
That missing NE Epping one is going to be fun!
May 29th: Cluster 312, Square 10x10.
October 12th: Cluster 468, Square 15x15
Been working on routes in the 20-50 mile range that cover a patch of squares. Not starting from home since it's probably a more effective use of time to drive out and do a 50 mile route than ride out there and do 20 tilemiles with 15 miles each way.
Next route will be 38 miles just east of the M6 starting near Ashton in Makerfield, which should take the square up to 18x18.
That is... dedicated. And very tidy.
