You can order replacements I think

In theory you can, having trouble finding UK stock though.

I’d quite like to set up my rim brake equilibrium for kid hauling.
Would need to be able to carry kid, her stuff for nursery, and my work gear (sometimes just a laptop, sometimes a bunch more clothes).
Would quite like to go with a front rack of some description to spread the weight out. Would ditch child seat at nursery post drop off.
Sound like a sensible plan? What front rack do I need?

Perhaps a Specialized pizza rack? I have done the nursery run before with little one’s usual rucksack on the top under a cargo net and a pannier underneath with my work stuff. Then left the rucksack and child seat at nursery and carried on my way.
The rack was a bit of a faff to fit, the mounting plates being not wide enough for the fork mounts when on the inside but too wide on the outside of the rack. Got it to work fine running it on the outside but with some diy spacers. Assume it was just a quirk of my forks (genesis vagabond).

Thank you. Did your fork have mid blade eyelets? Assume so as Vagabond is built for that sort of thing

Yeah it has mid blade eyelets, I think the new 2022 version has 8x of them 😂. I have seen similar racks that use longer stays that go to the mudguard eyelets if you have those instead? If I remember right Brick Lane Bikes makes one…

Hello - any experienced travellers (flying, specifically) with kid cycle trailers?
We've got an old double Burley D'Lite which is big but the smaller (though v pricey) Croozer Kid-for-1 type things pack down and would allow us to do some cycling + have a buggy we could take on rough-ish terrain walks. Currently looking for one of those but have some doubts/thoughts. As airlines offer free pram/buggy transport for infants - would love to know if anyone's taken a Croozer/Chariot/Burley as their buggy and whether it was worth it or if the airline gave them crap for taking something so big....
Cheers, Adam

Anyone want a free Hamax KISS kid's seat? Two available. Downside is that they're in Rutland.

Realised I need to replace the foot straps on the Hamax Caress I bought 2nd hand, which seem to be out of stock in the UK. Any reason not to just make some with 20mm webbing and a few buckles?
