If you bike around long enough they'll just doze off eventually
Gad I loved hauling my lad on this. Very sad day when I flogged it.
Oh wow, that's amazing. Looks like loads of fun. Is it yours?
Nope, not mine, mine is on the first page but yeah it is pretty cool.
You could make one yourself you know:
Really wish I'd bought that, but I didn't have anyone to put on it at the time so thought it would be odd.
DIY Maxi-cosi adapters. @Jonny69 a similar solution might e of interest for you. Makes taking it off a piece of cake He even has something under the floorboard to reduce vibrations.
Cheers for that. Yes, that’s along the lines of what I was thinking. I’ve wrapped my chassis outriggers with inner tube to protect them but actually some of those cotton reel rubber isolators (engine/exhaust mounts) under the floor would be better.
Mounted on a couple of adjustable springs, very comfy.
Protecting your frame is good and all but reducing vibrations for your baby is a little more important. Maybe even turn the seat around to keep an eye on him/her and protect 'em from the wind. It's also more aero.
Pretty cool canopy design on the Riese und Müller Packster
Has anyone 'on here' got a pram/bike trailer hybrid thing?
A Thule Chariot or the like.
We have two kids, one hamax and a four year old pram which is failing so are considering replacing the pram with a double cycle trailer thing.
Anyone here with a box on their Bullitt or similar type frame - particularly anyone with a couple of seats in it like that Riese and Muller. How wide is your box?
https://cargobikemag.com/cargo-space-the-overview/ does this help?
Pretty simple and smart.
The steering mechanism looks interesting
I have a Thule Chariot for a single child. It's great.
Soo good! Danny is always about the good vibes
pretty irresponsible to ride like that with a kid in the back smdh
I forgot to mention that about two weeks ago I spotted another mum mobile with three kids on it apart from the mum--a triplet converted into a quadruplet by the addition of a child seat. She was waiting at the top of Powell Road, E5, to turn into Kenninghall Road.
Cross-posing here from the cargo bikes thread - does anyone here have a Thule Chariot trailer they can measure the diameter of the ball on the trailer hitch? Ta
Mine is 28.6mm ish, which I reckon is 1 1/8”
@Tallboy what's yours?
First Dad-ride yesterday with my 11 month old... we both enjoyed it and feels like it’s opened up another opportunity to explore!
Yepp Nexxt Maxi seemed comfortable and plenty of room to grow, was also impressed by the Giro Scamp helmet.
