Hey - we've been contacted by a photographer asking to come take photos of some of our trainings - they're not paying us but I'm presuming we'd be able to use his photos for promotions / social media etc. What does everyone think? Email below:
I hope this email finds you well?
I am working with lifestyle and sports photographer Julian Love and we are looking to develop his portfolio. You can see his photography here https://www.julianlove.com/
I was wondering if London Bike Polo Association would be interested in having a photographer come along to a few training sessions to photograph the games? We have done this recently with an American Football team, a Roller Derby team and some athletics clubs:
Julian would ideally come along to 3 or 4 meetups and shoot the action going on, some smaller details e.g. kit on the ground, and some portraits of the players. I imagine these portraits would be after training, so that the photos show the work and effort that they put into their cycling.
These images would only go on Julian’s website, social media and in his printed portfolio, and if you wanted to use them for your website and newsletter that would of course be fine! It would just be Julian with his camera and probably myself to hold some small lighting.
Please do let me know your thoughts.
Seems fine to me.
Just note that no photos are to be sold for advertising purposes.
Could suggest he comes and photographs the mixer?
Would give a well represented picture of the sport
