Obvs the golden rule is you never ask to use tools, so I loved how Brixton encouraged you to learn to fix your own bike (doing themselves out of an easy few quid) by lending basic tools and offering guidance - provided you were polite

I've just tried their number to no answer but can't find anyting on instaface/their website about this being the case.
I purchased my Lemond Fillmore (still going) from Barney there many years ago; the gateway to this cough fine place...

This is incredibly sad if 100% confirmed. They were a proper institution. Last breed of actual bike shop with some humanity. Not soulless boxes that hustle to the final margin. It'll be sorely missed.
