Still need some down tube shifters,- to Synchro or not to Synchro? that is the question.
Also would like a Campag Aero seat post and a saddle with yellow bits on it.
I've got some white or blue bar tape, or would yellow be to much?
Yeah with the white hoods I think it would, I'm going to try blue.

Are you sure it's a 5000? Just asking because I'm trying to find some distinctive characteristics on PR frames. I thought 4000, 5000 and 6000 had the pinned lugs, 3000 the round ones (like your bike). 1000 and 2000 had external seat post binder.
If yours is definitely 5000, I'll have to do my homework again...
This is what I mean with pinned lugs (photo from my PR6000)..

I'd forgotten all about this frame.
I loved it but it was just a little too big for me. I was sad to let it go but happy to see it being built up again. -

I have a Record or Veloce FD if you need. Yours for free.

Thank you for your very kind offer of a (braze on) FD @Tomo187 but I've got a Chorus number that i think will do the job nicely.
Not much progress since first post, but did spend a few hours removing the old mastik from my rims with acetone.
Excitingly and somewhat surprisingly though, I found that Decathlon sell Vittoria glue for just £2.99! Unfortunately they only had one tube.

What's with the Orlowski sticker on the head tube. Repaint, fixed up?

This colour scheme and graphics were applied before I got the frame, before @Tomo187 got it as well I think. Don’t know much about it.
I think the wording on the down tube means something like “let’s go” and I may have been told the significance of the head tube sticker, but I’ve forgotten if I was!
What do you know @Tychom ? -

I know nothing :3 Just curious is all - don't doubt it's a PR 5000. Wonder what colour scheme it was originally.

I reckon the DT decal could actually be the german guys last name (or a shop name), as "schiebe" means push, as in pushing a cart, which doesn't really make sense imo.
Anyways, it's a nice frameset, looking forward to seing it completed.

So you telling me I’ve spent all this time and money putting a bike together that has the German equivalent of the word “Shite” written all over it?
-
• #21
Google translate has it as shove.
When I looked it up there was suggestion that the translation isn't literal and meant more like 'move' or the action of moving. Which makes more sense. -
• #22
Er, well we all have movements don't we? ;)
Seriously tho-I don't think it's intended to be "shite" either. Just showing off the absolute limits of my German skills...
Lovely bike too-straight steel forks always look the business

LOL. My last post was purely in jest, I’m happy with the push translation, the more scatalogical version is an amusing additional take. Schiebe !!
