at a guess I'd say that looks a bit small for you if you're 6'4".
As for the quality and value if I had to buy it I'd probably want to spend about £20 on it.
Also weight would not be my primary concern if buying a pub bike, the heavier the better for all the times you'll stack it on the way home!

It's quite an old frame, probably Seventies, originally built for 27" wheels and no, it'll not be a featherweight.
But for a pub bike I'd think those are all in your favour: with 622 wheels in there, you have loads of room for nice big tyres and mudguards (28mm at least); on a bike that's going to be locked-up, thin-walled lightweight tubes will get mullered in short order and weight is canard anyway. Not a hugely attractive bike either which makes it less nickable.
Do you have any experience of working on bikes? I expect it'll want a once over (headset checking etc).
In the general scheme of things it is on the small side for you, but with a longer stem and seatpost I'm sure it would do for the job.
With a Kryptonite lock, lights and mudguards the BIN isn't outrageous, but it looks like you could snag a bargain: if I got that £60 I'd be much happier.

Cheers guys, really appreciate the replies. I think you're right about it being a bit on the small side but as I'll probably only be riding 5-10miles max it hopefully wouldn't be too much of an issue.
I have a little experience working on bikes but am no expert. Was hoping I wouldn't have to do too much other than some bar tape. I think I might see how the bidding goes. The other thing putting me off is that given it's on ebay I'm guessing it'd be a pain to get a refund if I went to give it a once over and decided I didn't want it. Might keep scouring gumtree... -

You should go and check it out if you aren’t sure you want it. It’s not really a done thing that you buy it to look at it and then decide whether you’ll keep it.
What I mean is do your investigating and be confident before you part with any money or bid.
I’d say it’s nigh on impossible to get a refund from a stubborn seller on gumtree or Ebay once you hand money over and walk away (on items for collection).
If it’s posted however PayPal / Ebay will back you if you find something wrong with it

Have you looked at Classified on here or put up a wanted ad? I am sure there are plenty of worthy beaters not being used that will fit the bill.

Yea, I agree. That's why I think gumtree is probably a better place to look for now. I've always sold on there with the assumption that people are collecting with cash and have a chance to check things out before agreeing 100% to buy. Ebay is a bit more final in this case (4omins left on the auction) as you bid/commit to buying. Thanks again.

Might take a punt on this, new parts, serviced, money goes to charity...

Never bought a bike on eBay before and never owned an ss but have been looking around for a pub bike. This doesn't seem like too bad a deal given the limited details but I'd really appreciate a couple of opinions in case I'm missing something stupidly obvious. I'm about 6'4" fwiw.
Do these old Dawes frames weigh a ton?
