Right,
Trying to find this out whilst on the blower to a few bikes seems to be about as hard as getting the cure for an itchy ass hole...
To the good patrons of LFGSS, if someone can answer this I would be very happy..
Right is there a combined ANT+ and Bluetooth cadence speed sensor that is able to send both signals at the same time to different devises.
I have currently started on ZWIFT after a good few months of debating if it will be worth it and honestly with the shit weather the last few weeks I really feel it has done no end of good not just for my fitness but moral and the miles and hours have been flying by..
My ZWIFT setup is normally on a laptop that is tethered to a THREE sim in a android phone and a ANT+ Dongle running to the laptop. This works 100% fine but my THREE plan has a tethering limit..
I do have a older Iphone that works fine when I move the sim over and I set ZWIFT up on that but obviously the screen is tiny so I ran a HDMI connector into a old flat screen TV, again no issues with the setup and also this can give me unlimited Internet with my THREE plan as it is not tethered "BUT", The Iphone, as I am sure you know is BlueTooth only, all my sensors are GARMIN ANT+.
I thought it would be easy to just have another BlueTooth speed/Cadence sensor fitted along with my GSC GARMIN sensor but honestly it is a ball ache and I doubt it will be a long term solution.
What I really want is a do it all Speed/Cadence sensor that could at the very worst be used on the ZWIFT/Iphone set up when on the trainer and then with my GARMIN edge when I hit the roads.
The holy grail would be to have a sensor that not just runs ZWIFT on the IPhone with a BlueTooth connection but "also" allows me to have data on my GARMIN edge screen using ANT+ at the same time.
If there is such a unit what model is it???...
I have heard of people using a "bridge" to convert the ANT+ signal to BlueTooth but these all seem to be US products and I cannot find a UK suppliers that has stock, "CABLE" is one product that is spoken about. Also the 4iiii Heart rate monitor is said to act as a bridge but I am yet to see one or even ask anyone what it is like and if the claims are correct.
Anyone....
