I'd recommend the raceblade pro XL instead, much easier to tweak on tight frames.

Avoid Crud mk.II if you plan to use tyres wider than 23mm and have moderately wide rims (23mm or wider) The guard will constantly rattle and buzz the tyres.
Coverage isn't as good, but you could try what Drano has suggested, or find a Crud mk.III and trim it down before it reaches the seatstay bridge & fork crown, in a similar fashion to the Raceblade Pro. Much lighter and looks slicker without the ugly fasteners. -

odd - I am running MK II on 25 tyre and no contact with the tyre and no issues or rattles in general.
MKII is as much better than MKI as it offers you that additional 'blade' to cover crankset which I found great and far less mud splash thanks to that.
Personally I am hooked for years. Although admittedly when I was running them on my Cinelli gazetta there was almost no clearance and front mudguard eventually split in two, it was so worn under the fork - I didnt even notice when and it was not the tyre itself but gunk and rubbish it was picking up.
