An 80 year old man has died following being hit by a HGV lorry in Romford today (Tuesday December 19).
The incident took place on London Road at around 3:10pm, after reports of a 'person being hit by a truck'.
Sounds terrible, poor man, poor family at this time of year.
Grim news, again. RIP

I've changed the logo and am waiting for caches to clear.
Rest in peace.
It's never a good time for the families but it seems shittier this time of year.
Rest in peace.
That's awful. Rest in peace, rider.
I grew up on a street off London Road. My folks ran the local paper shop and although they sold the business still live on the same street. Visited them today. Turns out this is one of our neighbours and long standing old customers. He was always on his bike since I can remember, proper old sit up thing. Used to shout at us as kids on our BMXs for riding around on the pavement. Later on as I got older he used to give me all sorts of tips for horses and footy results as his second home was the local bookies. That’s where he was leaving when this happened.
RIP Mr Curley.
RIP Mr Curley. :'(
The inquest report. Thanks to @spindrift for posting. As so often, it makes for infuriating reading.
