The inquest has concluded, with evidence being given at the inquest claiming that Jérôme Roussel crashed into the back of the lorry and said it had been his own fault.
Verdict of accidental death, with the eventual cause of death seemingly having been an infection.
In a similar crash, a boy at my school crashed into the back of a stationary vehicle a long time ago and was paralysed as a result. The last I heard he had had a successful career and it seems it was being contemplated for Jérôme to continue his, but it was not to be.

Bad luck with the infection.
I did this into a stationary car years ago on my then brand new Raleigh Banana. Head down fiddling with gears. Only takes a second of inattention.
Haven’t done it since.

Bad news just in, a rider died on June 25 after being hit by a lorry on May 2. RIP Jérôme Roussel.
