  • Hahaha, "race". I quit racing back in 2001. :)

  • This needs to be rolled out for the Lovelo Crossmass. The colours are bang on trend for the festive season.

  • Really lovely frame and excellently executed build. Good job!

  • Super job as always

  • So how did she perform?

  • better than expected. :)

Frame is very flexible so I need to change the 35 mm tires to something smaller as the reartire rubs the frame when accelerating/climbing. I guess these frames were so popular in the eighties because bikes had to be carried more than nowadays (crosses were mostly mudfests). I immediately felt the nervousness of the bike (which I liked) but on the other hand I felt less comfy when descending.

When back home I started to do some measuring and the above described feel became clear: wheelbase of 100 cm (my CAADX 102 cm) and a BB height of 30 cm (26,7 for the CAADX).

I think the difference in wheelbase length is because of the difference in headtube angle.

I guess I won't copy the geometry just like that when building new frame. :-)
