Identifying a vintage Swiss/French frame

Posted on
  • Just started a winter ss bike build and picked up a NOS french frame that looks like 70s/80s. The paint wasn't finished as it doesn't appear to have a top coat, so no decals.

Anyway, no idea who made it so wondering if anyone can help. Here's what I know:

    1. BB thread is 35x1 so I guess that makes the frame French
    2. 126mm spacing
    3. Serial number is on a plate on the back of the seat tube with the no. +26512
    4. Some pics of the lugs and dropouts that might help

    Cheers!

  • Actually just realised that the plus at the beginning of the serial number is probably as Swiss cross. So it might be Swiss...

  • Are drive and non drive side bottom bracket threads in the same direction or different?

  • Different direction, so I guess Swiss? I had to pick up a threadless BB as I couldn't find a Swiss BB with a short enough spindle for chainline.

Have also had 3 seatposts trying to find the right size... doh.
