26 hours a week (21 hours Marketing office based, 5 hours instructing), £18,549 per annum (26.4 day annual leave)
As Head of Marketing you are passionate about cycling and sustainable travel. You’ll be up for the challenge of marketing a leading provider of cycle training in the UK. You will develop new business and manage all aspects of the organisation’s brand, comms, PR and media.
You will work on your own initiative as well as being part of a Head of Department team. You have a good understanding of the web, social media, have excellent writing and presentation skills and can turn your hand to design. You relish developing relationships with potential clients, opinion-formers, press and media. Cycle Training UK is known for creating cutting-edge projects, to that end, you can innovate and have experience in engaging new audiences.
The role is exciting and varied. It includes:
Generating new business and pitching to new clients
Managing CTUK brand
Developing relationships with new clients, stakeholders, opinion-formers and media
Managing all communication channels
Writing proposal and tender responses
Developing and refining the marketing and communication strategy
Working alongside Head of Department to help with the day-to-day running of the business as well as contributing to ways to innovate.
Representing the business and/or public speaking at conferences and networking events
In addition to the office based marketing role (21 hours), one day a week (5 hours) you will deliver cycle training services – from one-to-one cycle training to business seminars.

What we’re looking for
Cycle Training UK Ltd is recruiting cycling instructors on flexible hours contracts to deliver more cycle skills training, principally in the London Borough of Ealing, the City of London and from our office in South Bermondsey. We also deliver cycle skills sessions on behalf of Transport for London to employees across the capital, so the ability to travel to different areas by bike is essential.
You will be a keen cyclist, acting as a role model for trainee cyclists in London and having the ability to fluently communicate the benefits of cycling as a mode of transport.
You will be able to think on your feet, to manage risk dynamically on and off-road; be able to communicate calmly, clearly and assertively in English to a broad range of people.
You will have an excellent attitude to timekeeping, diary management and administrative tasks (using web-based apps) for session feedback, paperwork and incident reporting.
Cycle maintenance skills and recognized qualifications, such as City and Guilds Cycle Mechanics or Cytech.
Hold a National Standard Instructor qualification. However, you do not need to be a qualified instructor and you must be able to attend an instructor training course between 16th-19th September.
This role is subject to holding a valid First Aid Qualification and an Enhanced DBS Certificate.
